5 Best Headphones Under 200 Bucks

I have been really into the headphone game and recently I have listened to a lot of headphones in search of finding the best pair by still staying in budget. I have seen a lot of people who don’t really get to listen to the music on a decent pair of headphones and they are stuck to the regular pair of headphones that came with their phone. It is fine for some people and I don’t criticize them but once you have listened to some decent pair of  headphones you will never want to go back to those cheap headphones that came with your phone.

I know that finding a good pair of headphones is not so easy and some brands sell poor quality headphones that only look good. People sometimes get fooled by judging the sound quality by the design. Such headphones become a good fashion accessory but not a pair of good sounding headphones. I have compiled a list of 5 best headphones that you can get under $200. Lets get started.

Best Headphones under $200:

5. Beyerdynamic Custom Pro One:

Beyerdynamic Custom Pro OneThey are a decent pair of headphones and a good entry-level choice for someone who is entering into the audio game. They are comfortable, sound pretty good, have detachable cord, and they actually look good too. The side plates are customizable so you can get your band or company logo printed on these. The feature that makes these headphones to my liking list is the bass port that is tune-able so you can adjust it and make the bass more or less pounding depending on the taste you like. For me, I kept it in the middle to get a more balanced sound and sometimes opened it a little more while listening to some dub-step. Buy these at Amazon now.

4. Grado SR80i:

These headphones are a real steal for the price that you pay. You can often find them under a hundred-dollar. The reason these are so good is that they are perfect introductory pair of headphones for open back design. A lot of headphone you see out there are close back design which mean they isolate noise more and offer just pure music and the feel of headphone sound. But these are designed for more studio use. They are open back design so they leak a lot and give you a feeling like music is playing right next to you. You can even hear yourself clap with music while listening to the music. It sounds like the artists are siting right next to you and you get to listen to instruments as they are actually placed around you. You can purchase them from Amazon.

3. V-Moda Crossfade LP:

V-Moda Crossfade LP

These are already very popular pair of headphones on the market. If you check out reviews you can clearly see how much people love them. They come in different colors and the side plates are customizable to match your style. The great thing is that they are a very comfortable pair of headphones so they don’t hurt during long listening sessions. They doesn’t weigh too much so it does not put huge force on your head or clamp your ears hard. They are very nice headphones over all and if you ask anyone for a good pair of headphones and they have used these, chances are they might recommend you these without a second thought. Grab these headphones at Amazon.

2. Jaybird Bluebuds X:

Jaybird Bluebuds X

Well some people might argue that these are not headphones and they are earphones instead. But these headphones (or earphones) are pure gold because they are so tiny and wireless. First of all you can get all black design or black + white. I personally think that stealth black looks more cool. They connect to your device via bluetoothYou can hang them around your neck and plug them to listen music or answer calls and you are good to go.

The only downfall to these headphones is that they are wireless and you can not expect them to last that long on battery (you can’t even tell that where is the battery in them), but the good news is they last 7-9 hours on a single charge which I think is enough for size and portability. They charge via microUSB so you don’t have to worry too much. They sound excellent and I will highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a best in-ear headphones (or ear buds, if you say). Buy from Amazon.

1. Audio Technica ATH-M50:

Audio Technica ATH-M50

These are the only headphones that are pure about sound quality and for $200 (and sometimes less than that) they are an absolute gold for the money because trust me they sound a lot better than some $400 “fashion accessory” headphones. They are studio grade headphones and no you don’t need an amp to make these headphones work and sound great. They offer a much flat, balanced sound and if you are some one who is monitoring audio or just want to listen what are you getting out from the source than these over-ear headphones are a great choice.

They are not noise canceling but they have a good seal so they isolate a lot of noise. They also look very stylish and pro in complete black or complete white, I personally like complete white version of these headphones and will recommend to anyone without a second thought. There are no complaints about these headphones anywhere, they are comfortable, solid build, sound excellent and the wire is decent long which can come handy in a lot of situations. Buy these at Amazon.

Conclusion

If you bought a decent pair of headphones and you felt like all the reviews on the internet are spam because the headphones you got sound not so good than please give your headphones some time to break and sound what they are supposed to sound like. I recommend leaving your headphones plugged over night playing some music to break in so you can start enjoying your music. Please do this at your own risk as We will not be responsible if anything bad happens though it is not likely to happen anyways.
