HTC ONE: ALL IN ONE – Review with Full Specifications

Although the poor sales worldwide, and declining market shares led HTC to shift some of its focus towards Redmond giant’s WP8, but it still keeping its android hopes alive by developing some masterpieces, in the likes of HTC BUTTERFLY J, HTC DNA and now the latest one is HTC ONE.

Don’t go with its name, as it looks simple but it has all the qualities to be a true flagship. On feb 19, HTC president peter chow held the press conference for its launch,the device was on the internet few months ago, With a code name”M7″(which, in my opinion, was a pretty catchy name also).

Following are the specification of this new beast by Taiwanese manufacturing firm.

CPU AND PROCESSING POWER:

HTC ONE packs the recently launched snapdragon 600 by QUALCOMM,it has four cores of krait 300, it is clocked at 1.7 GHZ.as we are talking about cpu, let’s talk about GPU (Graphical Processing Unit).

In this modern era of Smartphones, users are now regarding the importance
of GPU,because you need a good GPU to play HD games like, real football 2013,modern combat and call of duty etc.

So we don’t worry because HTC has put an Adreno 320 GPU in it. As the
RAM is concerned, it has a 2GB RAM, which is now a necessity for today’s flagship.

DISPLAY:

Like all “new falgships of 2013”, HTC ONE has an HD 1080p screen. It has a 4.7 inch LCD which has super LCD3 technology. And hence offering a blazing density of 469 ppi (pixel per inch). It is scarcely smaller than HTC butterfly. It is also protected with corning Gorilla glass 2.

OPERATING SYSTEM:

HTC ONE comes with the android jelly bean 4.1.2 out of the box, although the latest update is 4.2.2, but still it can be updated to the latest one, by OTA (over the air) update. It has the latest custom UI layer of HTC ,”htc sense v5″.

CONNECTIVITY:

HTC has all the capability of a latest smartphone, that’s why it has both 3G and 4G LTE. WITH 4G LTE, it has a top download linking speed of 100mbps, and up lnking speed is at 50mbps, But you can still get a good speed by 3G as well.

Other options of connectivity are quite clear. It has wi-fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, and it is DLNA certified. It can also act like a wi-fi hotspot. From the bluetooth point of view, it have bluetooth 4.0 technology with A2DP support.

It has NFC(near field communication),which is quite a new technology, you send or receive files by a single tap, or you can pay your bills by NFC(through google WALLET) ,but as of now this service is available in a few countries only.

We are surprised by the fact that,it also has an infra-red port,which is not Popular among new phones. And now, last but not the least, it supports the micro USB v2.0(MHL).

CAMERA PERFORMANCE:

It has the primary camera at 4 MP (which is not so great by modern standards, when compared to Xperia T,etc), which is autofocus. Camera also has LED flash.It features the camera sensors of size one-by-third inches.

It is capable of recording HD videos and images at the same time secondary camera features 2.1 MP,and also capable of shooting at 1080p, and HDR. The other features are stereo sound recognition, video stabilization, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection and OIS.

OTHER FEATURES:

Apart from above features there are numerous other important features such as its compact size and weight (143 g). It is supported by BEATS AUDIO SOUND ENHANCEMENT. It also has a 3.5 mm jack. Although there is no micro sd card slot, but there is whopping 32/64 GB internal memory of HTC ONE. There is a micro sim card slot, which is now common among today’s smartphones. It also has accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensors, magnometer and compass. There are usual messaging features like threaded view(which is a trade mark of android), Email, Push Email. Its browser is HTML5 supported.

It also has STEREO FM RADIO WITH RDS, and also has a GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS (the Russian competitor of US’s GPS). Its available colours are black, silver and red. And then there is SNS integration, free Dropbox service up to 25 GB storage, active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, TV-OUT (through MHL A/V link). It also supports video formats like DivX/XviD/MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV, and audio formats like MP3/eAAC+/WAV/WMA/FLAC. The rest of the features are integration of GOOGLE Search, MAP, Gmail, YouTube, Calender, GOOGLE Talk, Organizer.

It has document viewer and editor, photo viewer and editor, voice memo, voice Dial, Commands, Predictive text input and at last a non removable li-po 2300 mAh battery.
